Sept 2010: Andrew Antoniou: Drawing

DATE CHANGED:  Workshop Code:  W0910ANT

Tutor:  ANDREW ANTONIOU:  Drawing on Yourself :  Unlocking your Inner Vision through Drawing

Inside all of us is a vast collection of memories and images, stored at a subconscious level, beyond our daily vision.  These deep pools of the mind are a source of unlimited creativity – a source we can tap and transform into imagery to inspire and guide our artistic endeavours.  This five day intensive course will introduce you to a range of approaches to access this realm, outlining a series of steps to help you stimulate and connect with your imagination and “inner vision”, resulting in a series of large scale charcoal drawings that map the development of the idea.  Music, poetry and other stimuli are used to enhance the process.  This workshop is appropriate for artists in all areas of the visual arts and is suited to those with some drawing skills, although a high level of competency is not necessary.    Andrew Antoniou (RE) is a highly sought after tutor in several fields of the arts, having taught for more than 30 years at adult education institutes to universities, he is a practicing artist who shows regularly with major galleries in London and Australia.
