A rare opportunity to study the figure and still life under Fu Hong who is a masterful realist oil painter of exceptional fidelity with strong leanings to heightened colour plays and a sensory approach to sculpting space. A master of contemporary realism, with an exciting individual take on impressionism melded with visual narrative and pictorial beauty. His flower paintings are in high demand by collectors all over the world as his alla prima brushstroke methodology and colour palette combine to create vibrant expressive paintings. This year two full days dedicated to painting flowers and three days to figure study. Fu Hong has over 40 years experience, was a finalist in the 2008 and 2009 Archibald Prize, a finalist in the 1996 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and the winner of the 2002 Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award. Suit Level 3.
