Tutor:  TIM MILLER:  En Plein Air Cityscape/Landscape – Oils & Pastels    

This workshop will emphasize form, light and colour, with the city skyline and parks close by the venue as the subject with three days of drawing and painting the landscape.  Tim says “As a painter I am interested in form, colour, edges, perceptions, intuition and how these can be used to re-create the sensation and soul of seeing”.  For over 30 years Tim has been a professional practicing award winning artist.  Tim holds workshops in his studio and is a guest lecturer at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, and his works are sought after internationally and nationally.  He is also a master colourist and uses the pastel to explore colours full potential and its juxtaposition to each other allowing the results to inform paintings.  Pastels are a good way of doing plein-air sketches to take back to your studio to develop into major paintings.  Suit all levels.
