TERRY BOUTON: Portraiture and Clay Sculpture
This semester class in clay portraiture will include discussion on anatomy, thumbnail drawn studies and small exercises as well as the completion of a number of half-size portrait busts. This workshop will add to your knowledge of the human face whether you enjoy drawing, sculpture or portrait painting. The cost does not include materials which are estimated to be around $70 (4-5 blocks of BRT or similar clay). All students will require a base tools kit (around $20) , a clayboard, drop sheet and lots of enthusiasm. Terry Bouton is a multi-talented and eclectic Brisbane based artist who works in both two and three dimensions. Terry was the winner of the Stanthorpe 3D Award in 2008, a finalist in the Alice Prize in 2008, and a drawing finalist in the Waterhouse and Hutchins award in 2007. Suit all levels.
