Cernak will be your tour guide on an interesting and informative journey into the ‘isms’ of the last two centuries, helping you understand the important part Australia has played in the history of art and what it means to understand the term Metaphysical Modernism. The central concept is to help you identify yourself with where you are in time and space, helping you to connect your art practice to your life, thereby expanding your creative development and evolution as an artist. Topics covered include Memory and Imagination, Image Research, Myth Making, Mapping your Presence, The Mind’s Topography; Dreamscapes and Indigenous philosophies and outlooks. Cernak is a Metaphysical Modernist with experience in East European as well as East Coast Australian Art Developments.
