Fundamentals of Drawing and Painting the Figure

 Tutor:  SCOTT BRETON and KRISSTIE BYRNNE:  Fundamentals of Drawing and Painting the Figure  

This course is specifically designed for the absolute beginner to intermediate student.  Drawing and painting the figure is a classic tradition in all art schools, and will inform every other aspect of your painting and drawing practice.  Scott breaks down the drafting skills required to see the movement of the body and how to accurately depict limbs that are foreshortened.  Other aspects covered include composition, tonal relationships, colour mixing, particularly flesh colours, edges and paint application.  Scott won the Best Emerging Artist at the Emmanuel College Art Show in 2003, and has studied extensively with David Paulson and at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney.  Krissti e is the founder of Brisbane Artists Academe.  Suit all levels.  (Oils, Acrylics and Pastels)

No Classes:         8 April and 6 May 2010
