Vision Statement

Strange how fate works. Both of us met at an art workshop quite a while back and we never realized our paths would cross again, so one never knows what can happen in life’s journey. We connected again at Brisbane Art Workshops run by Krisstie, and somehow a synergy of ideas happened between us, and before we knew it we were partners.

Krisstie had already been running successful art workshops with tutors for a few months, and Regina had an expanded vision of a training academy and a solid business background as well as being a talented committed artist, and we realized that if we combined the two visions together we would come up with something unique, something Brisbane doesn’t have in the art training field;

– a privately run ART TRAINING ACADEMY.

We envisage solid technically based training in painting, drawing, especially the life studies and portraiture as a foundation and a building block to provide the tools necessary for emerging, embryonic, experienced artists to explore their creativity to their full potential, taking them from traditional media right through to applying these skills to contemporary, traditional, expressionist imagery. Picasso was a traditionally trained master painter as were many very famous contemporary abstract painters. They had the foundations well and truly under their belt.

Developing your art practice is a journey we believe never ends, and if you stop learning you stop growing. Our workshops are attracting professional artists as well as beginners as students, who are all taking on the joy of learning something new and expanding their boundaries. Our aim is to provide professional practicing award winning artists to guide our students, to do demonstrations, and enable the student to learn visually through observation, painting side by side with the tutor, and absorbing information that the tutor’s wealth of experience can impart.

This is solid foundational training. Training, we believe, as our motto says, will DEVELOP THE ARTIST WITHIN.
