Lyne Marshall

Since completing a university arts degree in 1994,  Lyne has
worked consistently at building a strong profile and art’s practice.  In 2002 she completed a second degree in Further Education and in 2007 wrote, designed, illustrated and published  Gleaner or Gladiator: the struggle to create, a book on her personal research into the creative journey.

With over 16 solo exhibitions to date, she has exhibited in China, Japan, the USA, and six Australian states. Her experience as both artist and art director has been informed by exhibiting with her  business ArtClique in major art fairs in Australia and overseas for over  four years.

Lyne uses landscape elements as metaphors for life and through the use of complex layers of paint aims to have the viewer extend their perceptions of the world in some way. In 2006 exposure to the paintings of several contemporary Chinese artists in Shanghai had a profound effect and Lyne now strives to express the same emotions in her paintings.  She believes an artist can trap positive energy in their work that can connect with a viewer on a deeper level to evoke a sense of peace and contemplation.
